Max Player or Nah?
Draymond Green is arguably the third best player on the Golden State Warriors team. The 2nd year forward is having a potentially max deal player type of season. He is the glue guy that the Warriors needed to allow Stephen Curry & Klay Thompson the freedom to do what they do on offense and he brings so much to the table defensively. Green is an energy player with high emotions that fuel his competitive spirit. He is also a threat from outside so defenders have to be aware of where he is on the court at all times. I feel Green is a Max player for the Warriors but may not be for some other teams. Golden State needs to find a way to keep Green along side of Curry & Thompson for years to come. Draymond is averaging 11 pts, 3 ast, and 8 rebs a game since being injected into the starting line up over All Star forward David Lee, a smart move on coach Steve Kerr's part. Green will be the X factor in Golden State getting to the NBA Finals and competing for a championship.
If Green performs well in the playoffs and in the finals he should be
on the NBA radar to become a max player after his third season given
that he stays healthy and consistent. By ATGS Jerod McCain 3/7/15
